Perfectly dried wood is a prerequisite for the production of high quality solid wood furniture. The step of drying wood to its ideal grade is often skipped or ignored as it is very time consuming. KATIKA takes this step of the process very seriously and uses only optimally dried woods for its production.
A KATIKA uniqum is not a mass product. At KATIKA every piece of furniture is manufactured at the highest level of Swiss craftmanship and is made by one craftsman from A to Z individually for you. The selection and preparation of the wood planks defines the artistic image of the final furniture uniqum. The wood planks are then planed and glued, adjacently tailored and sanded and finally oiled and polished by hand to absolute perfection.
After every production step, your piece of furniture is carefully examined and the necessary time for acclimation is granted. In the end, every product is carefully packacked for shipment to ensure that transportation risks are reduced and that it arrives safely to your home.
