When KATIKA's company philosophy was initially formed, environment and sustainability were some of its building blocks. From early on, careful attention had been devoted to responsible production techniques. Besides low production waste, ecologically friendly packaging material and proper waste disposal, only natural oils and waxes are used for the treatment of KATIKA furniture.

| In 2008 KATIKA was able to take another step towards achieving its sustainabilty goals. In the spring of 2008 the KATIKA Team planted for the first time 100 walnut seedlings. Similar actions are planed on a regular basis in the coming years, consequently ensuring a solid basis for long-term sustainability. |
